I have been meaning to write something of note for a while now, so here it is...

I set up this website with the intention of sharing my favourite Old Time Radio and Vintage movies etc, but I think it's important for people to understand that I in no way condone, agree or even remotely share the out-dated and old-fashioned sentiments contained within many of these featured programs/films.

What do I mean by this?

Well for a start, SEXISM. Back in the day we know only too well that women were thought of as the 'weaker' or 'fairer' sex and constantly treated with kid gloves in most situations, or had to 'obey' their husbands. It's all nonsense and just because I love nostalgia, I am still aware of how out-dated and totally incorrect these sentiments are. I'm a modern thinking woman and I can easily separate myself from the old-fashioned ways of thinking but still enjoy the nostalgia and fuzzy warmth of the vintage eras that takes me back to when my family and I would gather round the TV or radio and enjoy the scares while feeling safe and warm together.

RACISM is another aspect that drives me mad when I see it today and still hurts inside every time I hear/see it played out in these old dramas, but I remind myself that times have changed and although it disgusts me to hear/see it referred to in such a blase manner, such things are rarely tolerated openly in film and television these days, but I'm not naiive enough to think that the industry doesn't still have it go on in the background!

I just wanted to let anyone out there reading and listening, know that the attitudes within the content of these films/books/radio dramas in no way reflect my opinion what-so-e'er!

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for visiting! I appreciate every one of you!

Thanks,

Pamela Rose xxx
